Strange that nobody seems to care about this, after all the 'urgent' requests for r2841 to get solved?
I tried to just replace the pdf.rb file, but that doesn't work.
It's a pity, to have the solution lying in front of your nose, but not getting it, as it's targeted for 0.9.0.

That might seem a little harsh, but considering it's a free and open source software, you could:
- hold your breath till 0.9.0 hits stable, RC1 is planned for mid-hanuary,
- run trunk, works a charm for me,
- actually pay someone to backport the feature, if you are in so dire need of it.
I'd rather have 0.9.0 out as soon as possible than pushing the release back several weeks because the devs spend their time backporting stuff.
