Short answer: no. Long answer: I can't fathom a situation where you would need or even want that, can you describe the use-case you have, we might be able to help you better solving that than with mails :-)

Ok Here's the case. I woul like to run redmine as a project management tool. Not for software coding but plain simple project management.

There is no default project, every new customer get's his project entry.
There can be many sub projects per customer and there can be many issues per subproject.

For every customer I get a new email with his signed contract, contact which describes the things(issues) and/or subprojects need to be done. In ths email there's also contact info plus details etc..

I want to be able to auto import that email as a new project (I know I need to know if this customer exists or not, will do this manually).

Then as a Manager I can go and assign those projects to the project managers.

How does this sound? Am I totally out of scope?

Mmh, I still don't really understand why you'd need that, but anyway, there is no method to do it per mail at the moment, and I don't think there will. What you might want to have a look at is the upcoming REST interface, which you could interface with to create new projects.

How would you do it then? We're talking about a huge amount of projects so time is of essence.

Oh, the REST Interface isn't active yet, so you really only have the web interface left.

If you know your way around ruby/rails, I could tell you how to interact with the app directly at the console level, but you'd need to get your hands a little deeper in there for that.
