If user uses Windows XP and IE 8, she cannot upload file in issues?

Added by Ray Jeong about 10 years ago

Hello, I take many information about Redmine in here.
But I cannot search answer for my problem. So I hope you can help me.

I'm admin in my Redmine system, and my user have question to me about attaching file.
My user uses Windows XP and IE 8 - I know, it's too old :(
And when she upload file with her issue which was made by her, she was connected internal error page.
I cannot understand this situation because when I test attaching file with my issue, I can.
My system is Windows 7 and IE 8!! (Just OS is different but browser is same!!)
And when she use Chrome, she can!!

I watch Redmine log when she uploaded file in my system, it was written about TypeError(can't convert nil into Hash).
And I can see many errors occur in gems(rack, actionpack, activerecord, activesupport, railties, thin....)
Do you know why happen this situation?

I'm sorry I can't show you my Redmine log due to my company security policy.
Thank you for your kindness and understanding my FOOL english.
Sincerely

Windows 7, IE 11, Redmine 2.5.0 uploads files in existing issues and in new issues. No problems occur.
May be you have to think about some upgrading.... Redmine at least.

Windows XP is not the problem (I think so). Old IE could be a problem. Let your user switch to something else, like Firefox. If this doesn't help, think about upgrading Redmine (which is not simple process if your current Redmine is too old.).
