Redmine Squeejee theme - v.0.2.0 released

Added by Mischa The Evil over 15 years ago

I've just uploaded a new release of the Redmine Squeejee theme. This release was initially (and internally) developed to be a 0.1.1 release, but I decided to increment the version up to 0.2.0 directly due to the nature of the (combination of) changes and enhancements.

This release has a few bug fixes, a couple of new features (as in support for new third-party plugins), and several, more general, enhancements. A major feature of this release is that the theme is now compatible with Redmine instances which are deployed in a sub-URI.

If you need help, I'm regularly hanging'around in the #redmine channel on the freenode IRC network. You could also post to the Redmine forums to ask for help or anything else. Though, please do not open issues here at www.redmine.org regarding this theme, since it's an third-party "development" which is not supported by the Redmine project.

Please note: I've ended "distributing" the packages of the theme by "attaching" them to the theme's wiki-page. Several reasons exists at the moment (in random order):
  1. I want to know how much users the theme has...
  2. I don't think that the package is easy to find between all those screenshot-attachments (I want to be able to reference not only the current object's attachments :grr: )
  3. [depending on 1] I don't want to generate high-traffic on Redmine.org for third-party extensions
  4. I'm still in the running of putting back-on my personal (ad-free!) site at http://www.evil-dev.net which is also planned to be the home of all my "development" output

Regards,

Mischa.

Digital,

At first thanks for your feedback... I really appreciate it.

What do you exectly mean with: "doesn't work"? Do you receive an error-message or something?

The MediaFire service has served well over 1500 downloads for me after I started using it. I haven't heard anyone complaining about the service. I've carefully selected the service due to it's flexibility for the admin and other sophisticated features that it provides... I have searched for alternatives but haven't found any which suits my needs like MediaFire does at the moment. Are you maybe aware of any alternatives I can compare and try-out?

Please note though: I'm certainly not talking about the advertisements, which it displays when the user doesn't pay to get upgraded to a pro-account, above. I've taken them for granted (with pain in my heart) at the moment, though I'm still considering taking a pro-account for that small-fee for some months untill I switch to any alternative (including my own site, depending on the estimated use of bandwidth [as a result of switching to the MediaFire-service which provides these basic-stats for free too]).

As I've said in my initial message:

With that sentence I implied that the site is not up-and-working yet... So your comment is correct; it doesn't work yet! :( :)

Depending on the reason why you can't download from the MediaFire-service you can maybe try the following link:

http://www.mediafire.com/file/lmmdozmyuuz/squeejee-0.2.0.zip

and then click: "Click here to start download..".

Please let me know if your troubles with the service keeps persisting. I'm happy to provide you the archive(s) by mail if necessary... :-)

Hope this helps...

Kind regards,

Mischa.

Mischa The Evil:

Since you've put a lot of work into Redmine I might be able to host some of your downloads. Contact me by email and lets try to work something out.

Eric

I managed downloading the theme. Thanks for your efforts.
If you want I can also provide you with an account to host a plugin / archive. You can email me for that.

CSS edits to get rid of evil annoying horizontal scrollbars that reliably showed up on Safari 4:

In squeejee/stylesheets/application.css

/* ... */

#content {
/* ... */
    overflow: hidden;
/* ... */
}

/* ... */

#wrapper,
#main,
#footer {
    background: none;
    overflow: hidden;
}

/* ... */

#sidebar {
    /* ... */
    overflow: hidden;
    /* ... */
}

/* ... */

Works for me now, YMMV. (test site http://www.fsdev.net/)
