This plugin allows you to automatically add watchers by category when an issue is created.
A tab on the project menu will be available to configure the watchers

Instalation

Clone or download the project to plugin folder (Be sure the folder is named 'redmine_category_watchers')

rake redmine:plugins:migrate NAME=redmine_category_watchers

Configure the permissions in the 'Roles and Permissions' page (under project)

Will this work in Redmine 2.4.3?

The only issue I see is that the watchers do not get an email upon Issue creation, so it works a bit differently than if the Users are checked off as Watchers. It looks like the watcher list is updated after issue creation, so there's no initial email.
