Redmine

hello,

i was wondering, how does redmine create login session after authenticating user already? i found no session var stored in the database. does it just create a cookie based on session or something like that?

or should i use call some redmine which will do this? excuse my noobiness, but i'm working in php and never really wrote in ruby so i don't understand the sources very much.
