Setting up Redmine on Ubuntu 10.04

Added by Kurt Spindler over 13 years ago

Hey all,

I'm trying to set up redmine on ubuntu 10.04, and I've followed the directions on

http://www.redmine.org/wiki/1/HowTo_Install_Redmine_in_Ubuntu#Ubuntu-1004-using-Passenger

to the letter, specifically using the 10.04 with Passenger instructions. I try accessing http://localhost:3000 and the connection keeps on being refused. I'm new to Redmine, so I'm not sure what debug info I can give you beyond the following.
I followed all the instructions on the above webpage in the 'with passenger' section, including the last part about changing folder permissions, even though I'm not running into a 403 (because it can't even establish the connection..). I also followed the instructions here:

http://www.redmine.org/boards/1/topics/19927

But they also caused no change in my problem. Let me know what info I can provide, and thank you in advance for your help!

Kurt

Hi Kurt,
did you tried to launch Redmine using Webrick first ?
I don't know for Passenger but I got Redmine running on Mongrel on Unbuntu 10.04 without problem.

Have fun,
Damien
