Synchronize redmine sites

I have been testing Redmine a bit and see the great possibilities it has.
Actually, we are looking at deploying it at several small but different
organizations. For example I have my private company and a research project.

Would it be possible to synchronize so I get one "my page" with feed
updates from both sites? If not, would it be a big job to create such feature?

It would be a large feature because the remote site would somehow need to provide an API for the local site to read. Once that API's in place, it would be trival to query it (from "my page", plugin, or elsewhere). You can find a lot of talk and proposals for a REST API but nothing concrete yet.
