russian characters

Hi,

I spend about one day trying to get redmine working on apache 2.2.15, slackware 12.0, mod_passenger.Eventually redmine 0.9.3 works fine, but i can not type any russian character - i get just "??????". Anyone have an idea about this bug? ( I 've used this instruction http://www.redmine.org/wiki/redmine/RedmineInstall ).

ps sorry about repeating in general section.

utf8_general_ci in mysql solved the problem.
