How do I tell what release Revision 1488 will be included in?

Added by Johnny Goodman over 15 years ago

Hello,

Thank you for this wonderful software! Our growing company is currently evaluating it as well as taking a crash course in project management.

We were frustrated by the way duplicate tickets closed and found that this issue was already reported and acted on:

http://www.redmine.org/boards/1/topics/show/1279#message-1289

http://www.redmine.org/repositories/revision/redmine/1488

What we can't find through clicking on the revision page or going in through Roadmap and looking for revision numbers in 0.7 and 0.8, is when this revision is scheduled for inclusion in a stable release. How does one do this?

Thanks and sorry in advance if this is a super basic question.

Johnny

Just have a look to TAGS: 0.7.1 is r1414, so don't have r1488. 0.7.2 is r1556 youhay! But but but! Why is there a 0.7.3? Because there's a security fix: so you have to install (at least) redmine v0.7.3 to have the modification you're looking for.

Thomas,

Thank you for the fast reply. :)

I was looking at a "trunk" directory only and didn't understand that older revisions were in directories like /tags/0.7.1. This is now clear and good.

Two related questions:

1. How do I tell when R1488 is scheduled for release or what release it is scheduled for inclusion in?

2. Is there a list I can get on to hear about this information?

Thanks,
Johnny

Thomas Lecavelier,

Be careful just checking the revision numbers for tags. 0.7.3 cherry picked only a few revisions from trunk. For example it skipped r1457 because r1457 includes a database schema change.

It also looks like r1488 isn't part of the 0.7.3 tag either so that commit isn't in that release either (compare the diff of r1488 to the tagged issue.rb duplicates method).

The only announcement list I know about is the News module here.

Eric,

You're damn right! Thank you for pointing out my mistake. Sorry for that ugly shortcut.
