Redmine

Greetings,

From what I have seen when I add a sub task to an existing issue that issue, now a new parent issue, has the % done field cleared and is no longer able to have it and the estimated time updated, but can have time logged against it. Is that correct? Is that the intention or a bug? Is it correct that only leaf node issues will have work done in them and parent issues are really just container issues?

I ask as during our adoption of Redmine ( 1.0.4 ) we have had a few issues added as subtasks and it seems to mess up the handling of that issue. I think this is just us getting used to how Redmine works, but I couldn't find too much about this workflow in the docs. Is there a doc or best practice page for the handling of sub tasks?
