Maybe a mail notifications issue?

Hi everybody... We're having an issue with the mail notifications configuration.
We're currently using redmine 1.0.0 stable w/MySQL and in the account options the users can't change the form option for the email notifications to "Only things I watch...". The form send the data, but the option remains unchanged (currently is set on all notifications).
Is there a bug or something? I would appreciate any help
