Redmine

Hello!

I'm running a relatively fresh deployment of Redmine, we've recently decided to switch to it, after our last solution had started to do more getting in our way, and less facilitating. My knowledge of Redmine is limited, so bear with me.

Onto the question:

There's tons of nice filter options for what email notifications Redmine should send, but unless I'm missing something, the user's ability to filter which emails they actually receive is broken down into a very small number of enumerations that amount to basically "everything" or "just things I've said I want to see (or tickets I've been assigned to.)"

• Are these limited options truly all the user has?
• If so, is there a plugin that expands these options, or can someone point me to the actual file that handles these cases?

• A solution where I am able to mark certain news post and/or messages to be emailed to everyone.
• Or a solution where I can place an item on everyone's watch list myself.
• Or a solution where I can manually edit in new enumerations
• Or simply manually exempt a certain category from user control. For instance, making it so that email notifications for news posts entirely ignore a user's preferences.
