How to get current version information / migrate system

Hello,
I have to migrate a redmine installation from one server (mac) to another (linux).
How can i get information about the current installation?
Which directories have to be moved? And what if the directory-root changes (mac has /Library/... , linux has /srv/redmine/... ).
