Self-registration with automatic account activation using LDAP authentication

I searched for something like this, but didn´t find anything.

I have configured LDAP authentication, and it´s working great! But I´d like also to use the self registration feature with automatic account activation, using the LDAP for authenticating the newly registered users.

Is that possible? How?

Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
