Redmine 2.0.0 on Passenger Installation error: No such file or directory - config.ru
Added by Kit Menlove almost 14 years ago
Hi,
I've installed Redmine 2.0.0 on my shared hosting account. It runs properly on WEBrick, but when I put a symlink to the public directory (via these instructions) and run on passenger, I get the following error:
Ruby (Rack) application could not be started
No such file or directory - config.ru
Exception class: Errno::ENOENT
Any ideas what could be wrong?
I'm running Ruby 1.8.7, Rails 3.2.3, and RubyGems 1.7.2
Thanks,
Kit

Hi Kit,
I see that your post is over two years old.
I just ran into precisely the same problem myself on Bluehost. Were you able to find a fix?
I'll let you know if I manage to find a solution to the mysterious and dastardly "config.ru" file...
All best,
Adam Clayman

And another two years later, I, too, am having the exact same error, also on Bluehost. I've been trying to install Redmine for about 4 hours now, gone through 3 different sets of install instructions (Bluehost's, Redmine website's, install doc in package) without success. Grrrrrrr.
