Redmine

So I'm sure it's something simple but I've gotten redmine 1.4.1 running. And I've made an account specifically for it. However, I've done the instructions on the wiki to the letter (got all the correct information about my domain, the only thing that might be weird is that I used an OU which contains all of our users) and yet it still refuses to add anyone from the domain, I just get "Invalid user or password", I've tested the user account that it's using and it can make ldap queries without issue. Although, I'm sure it's something silly that I missed, but I've gone through everything to try and make it work. Is there anyway to force it to use LDAP? Or something I'm possibly missing that would prevent new users from being created by using active directory?

I know when I used the redmine_ldap_sync plugin, it locked a bunch of accounts that ARE in the domain, that I just created in redmine.
