How to check Redmine version as simple user ?

I am a simple user (non-admin) on a Redmine installation, and would like to know the Redmine version. I cannot access the admin/info page, as elsewhere mentioned, nor check the changelog file.
Can I access this information in any other way ?

I didn't realize this was a sensitive information that only the administrators had right to reveal. I understand hiding it from the anonymous passer-by, but maybe logged in users could have access to it ?

As for our specific use case, our admin is currently on vacation, and doesn't like to be disturbed for trivial matters anyway. As a result, it is hard to report an issue with no idea of the version running, when it could have been fixed in an update.

There's nothing hidden by purpose, at least not AFAIK...
