please help us regarding our project

we have a project and one of the requirement is for us to connect redmine to our project and to our database but then we don't know how to connect it. redmine uses other port and our project uses xampp and uses php. Please help us :)

Your question is not very precise and contains very little technical background.
Google PHP, ruby on rails, learn to program in both, get to know both databases (redmine and your application)...

Management summary: Hire someone proficient in RoR, PHP and databases.
