project subtaks

In Redmine settings one can choose to Allow cross-project subtasks
with With project tree, With project hierarchy and With subprojects,
but I can't really see the difference between these options.
Could someone explain this a bit, please.

Look at the diagram RedmineProjectSettings under "Versions" and you'll get the picture :-)
