Json update resetting field value (redmine_backlogs)

There is apparently a bug in redmine_backlogs I am trying to fix. I have posted an entry it their forum:

This plugin adds a field "remaining_hours" to issues, but each time I update a ticket via JSon, its value is not seen by the plugin and thus reset to its initial value. (tested redmine 2.3 + backlogs 1.2)
I do not have the problem while proceeding with the same updates via GUI.
Does anyone have a clue what could explain this issue ? how to fix it ?

Got a fix from redmine_backlogs forum (see the link above), no help necessary anymore.
