Is there a way to override language from a plugin or other methods in Redmine >= v.2.2.3?

Added by Lennart Nordgreen almost 11 years ago

Hi,

I'm simply asking if it is (still) possible to override language from a plugin by adding a custom
*.yml file to plugin_name/config/locales in Redmine >= v.2.2.3?

Or is there another way to change/edit/modify (not add) menu names, field names etc. without touching the core files?

And if there is, how do I go about doing this?

Thanks

Br,
Lennart

I managed to hotfix this by piping the corresponding changes (overrides) to the bottom of the original no.yml language file in Redmine core. But it is a bad fix, since I don't want to touch core and keep it clean.

Is the problem with adding language overrides only in Norwegian or other languages where one have to
put the short code (in the .yml file) between double quotes?

looks like this is the problem with all languages

even I want to override a few labels but the only way is to change the core file
