<map> an image

hello. is there any way to use image mapping in the redmine wiki ? (or anywhere else)

No, not with a vanilla Redmine (un-patched and without using plugins).

The <map> tag is HTML and that (at least, most of it) is not supported. Stock Redmine uses either plain text or textile text formatting.

Plugins however can implement custom formatters (like RD) and/or custom macros to add/extend available formatting options.
