Migrating to a different VM and upgrading at once

Hey there,

i am currently planning to migrate to a different VM and at the same time bump up to the latest version.
I was wondering if there was a preferred way of doing so? Upgrade, then migrate? Or can i export from
the old version and import in the new version (1.x vs. 2.x).

Hi Thorsten,

there's no import / export function, but a while ago I did the same. I came from 2.0, so that was a bit easier, but it's feasible.
There are quite a lot of threads buried here, where people ask how to go from 1.x to 2.x... I don't have a link handy, but you'll find it using the search.
Plus, you should read RedmineUpgrade, it'll explain a bit.
