Jump to Project Dropdown Missing
Added by James Wilcox about 11 years ago
I've searched as much as I can on redmine.org and Google, but i can't figure out why I don't have the Jump to a Project dropdown in my Redmine 2.3 install. I've seen it in screenshots in the top right next to the search field and I often wish I had that exact feature. I've only been using Redmine for a month, so I'm wondering if this was removed in 2.3? I've tried all the themes with no change. Any help is appreciated.
Environment:
Redmine version 2.3.1.stable
Ruby version 1.8.7 (x86_64-linux)
Rails version 3.2.13
Environment production
Database adapter MySQL
Apache/2.2.22
MySQL 5.5.34
Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS

Figured it out. I'm the only one using this Redmine at the moment and I hadn't given myself a role in any projects. [[http://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/wiki/RedmineSearch]] is what clued me in.
For anyone else stuck on this, here's what I did:
1. I went through making myself a manager of each project under Administration > Users > [Username]> Projects tab
2. Then I had to update the Manager role: Administration > Roles and Permissions > Manager. Check all at the bottom, then click Save.
