Issue status changed to New when email updates

Issue

When we have a resolved issue that receives and email update the status is changed to New. I've removed any override on the rake command for the emails, I just can't figure out what is allowing them to be re-opened. It's not the biggest issue ever but I just don't want me or my team having to change issues to resolved because somebody responds to an email with a "thank you" or something like that.

Cron Job:
