Is it possible to specify a begining date for next mail in ReceivingEmail ?

Hello,
I try RecevingEmail via redmine:email:receive_pop3 and it is very cool.
The process seems to read email from pop server and seems to keep information about the last mail read.
I assumed (and hope++) a text file is written to avoid to create issue with the same mail.
Is it possible to have information about this process?
Is it possible to define someting to define the next mail read? (for example set next mail > a date in a file)
I answer that because i study a solution to use a generic mail box use by a lot of people but with a big inbox.

- I assume the ReceiMail code is in mail_handler.rb.txt & other source files.
- A mail list is created.
- It seems that a unique id is used to identified a mail item (signature)
- Nothing found to specify the last mail taken into account.
