Configuring SVN with apache for http checkout

I am trying to configure SVN with with apache, mod_dav_svn and mod_perl by following this guide : http://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/wiki/Repositories_access_control_with_apache_mod_dav_svn_and_mod_perl
I am stuck in the part : Apache configuration for Subversion repositories
It says "Then add the following Location directives to your apache configuration (for example in /etc/APACHE_DIR/conf.d/):"
But I do not have conf.d in my /etc/apache2/ folder. Have conf-available, mods-available and so on.
I have setup the redmine as a vhost in /etc/apache2/sites-available
Can you please help me where should I put the svn configuration.
Server version: Apache/2.4.18 (Ubuntu)
