Added by Alexey Mironov 1 day ago
I'm trying to setup redmine in docker container.
OS: Ubuntu 24.04
In Dockerfile I use next command
apt-get update && apt-get -y install redmine redmine-mysql
and recieve next erros
E: Package 'redmine' has no installation candidate
E: Unable to locate package redmine-mysql
Can anybody, please, explain this situation?

While there are Redmine packages in Debian, it seems they are not included in the Ubuntu distribution.
These distribution packages are not maintained or provided by the Redmine project but are maintained by Debian developers. As such, we have no information about their status in Ubuntu. If you require these packages, you may contact the appropriate Ubuntu support channels and ask for the Redmine packages to be included in their distribution.
For a shorter-term solution, you could try to switch to Debian as your base image or install Redmine from other sources.
