Plugin custom attachment tab help

Hello!
I absolutely lost and confused in plugin development stuff, so I hope that you can clarify some problems:
I want to add additional "Files" tab that will duplicate existing "Files" tab, but with other attached files (it seems that attachments from existing and additional "Files" tabs must be storage separately). I have no idea where I can separate attached files or assign other variable for attachments.
It seems that I must somehow extend attachment controller/model (by using hooks?) and assign new variable for additional attachments but I lost in syntaxes.
Please enlighten me!
