We do not use begin end dates much, but we would like to make use of precedes/follows relations for some tickets.

Currently, I usually have two tickets that have their start dates set to the dates of their creation, the default (with the first ticket created a while ago and the second ticket created right now). We have no due dates set. Now we set the second ticket to follow the first ticket (leaving the offset empty). The start date AND the due date of the second ticket are set to the start date of the first ticket + 1, which is a date in the past.

It would be great if at least the due date could be left untouched in that case (no due dates set for all tickets). I also don't see a reason for setting the start date to a date in the past...
