Description
I am a blind Linux user and I installed GSB. Now when I start the Orca screenreader, I notice there are a couple of utilites missing. The first utility that is no longer in Orca is speech-dispatcher. The second is Espeak.
Also, when I start Orca, and go to "preferences" and check the speech page, I noticed two areas are grayed out. One is the "speech synthesizer", which is where Espeak would go. The second is "speech system" where speech-dispatcher would go. Without these two things, Orca is unusable. The best solution from a blind person's perspective would be to have these two things already installed. That way, when a blind person hits Alt+F2 and types Orca in the run box, the Orca screen reader will start and begin to speak, and then a blind person can configure the system the rest of the way.
