Redmine grant login also if username is invalid?

Added by pasquale [:dedalus] over 14 years ago

I'm play with redmine on my localhost for a while (...it's very great).
I have this issue: when I installed redmine (using bitnami installer 0.8.7) I have create a user (admin) that is named "(:dedalus)"... I have complete my installation with succerful and I can work with redmine.

Today I want to change some of my account settings (for example my timezone): I can't because a receive always the message « Login » is invalid... I suspect that the problem is related to "(:" ")" chars... it is possible?

ps: I know that I can easy connect to my readmine wit the same crediantials... but I don't find any other reason for this behavior.

Any suggestion?

I can confirm that is an issue: when I change my login from (:dedalus) to dedalus, I can edit my account!
I should fill a bug?

From Bitnami Redmine Stack installer.
During installation process, I have filled as username of admin user "(:dedalus)"... but this is invalid username! After Redmine grant me to access with this login but don't grant me capability to change my account because "Login is invalid\incorrect".

Changing my account login "(:dedalus)" with "dedalus", Redmine work fine.

At the end of the story, the problem is that Bitname Redmine Stack allow me to fill an invalid login.
