Create limited view for Client Portal

I have created a new group for my Clients, and also users. I then gave them access to the relevant project. But my issue is this:
a) their default screen, should be the default project, or if it is the home page, I not want them to see all other projects also or even the list of other projects. is there a way to customize the homepage and only show the welcome messages, news, but not the latest projects on the right side?

Make the projects private so that only users that are members of the project can see them.

you can achieve this by unticking the "public" checkbox in your project settings. there's also a "make projects public by default" checkbox in your redmine settings within the projects tab.
