There are a few interesting ideas we could take from this:

voting on issues
labels (labels for assigned to? labels for categories? labels for versions?)

Anywho, something worth thinking about.

These ideas not new for Redmine, there are already feature requests for they:

labels - #2897 Tagging in Redmine
voting - #1011 Add voting to tickets

But GitHub implementation is interesting
