Product management in redmine

Does someone has experience with using redmine for both product management and IT delivery? We have multiple independent products and separate IT delivery unit which is using redmine as well.

One project per product? Multiple subprojects?

This site, redmine.org is the closest example of Product Management use. If you look around in Roadmap and News you'll see how just the core features of Redmine are sufficient for Product Management

Whether you use projects and/or subprojects is not as important, but you definitely need to separate IT delivery and Prod MGMT into separate projects.
