Gantt charts work this way?

Added by Robert Gonzalez almost 15 years ago

When I put relationships on tasks, they dont show up in the Gantt Chart like I would expect. I.e. I put a task that precedes another and they line up at the same time, instead of one after the other. Is there something else that needs to be set up for the Gantt chart to show up with the tasks serialized like you would expect?

Currently issue-relation reflection is not implemented within the Gantt-chart. See issue #3436...

Though, note that some sorting is being done, see http://www.redmine.org/boards/1/topics/6870#message-6882.

Hi Mischa,

Where is the main code for Gantt charts, i.e. the drawing, sorting, etc? I would like to take a stab at it. This is a very important feature that if implemented correctly, would be a very valuable addition to the product. Without it, I'm not sure what the value of the Gantt chart is, to tell you the truth.

Thanks,

rg

Up,
this is a major problem when using redmine as a project management tool, is there any news about this issue?
