How do I install Redmine on a webhosted server at one.com

Hi, I wonder if anyone could please lead me through a complete installation of Redmine on a webhosted server at one.com

This seems to be not possible as one.com seems to be a pure PHP hoster. Redmine instead is based on Ruby on Rails which doesn't seem to be supported there.

There are some specialized Rails hosting providers out there on which you can install Redmine, see RE: where can I find ruby hosting. Also, there are some dedicated providers for Redmine hosting, see CommercialOfferings.

The problem of shared hosting is upgrade of RubyOnRails and Redmine itself. A few more issues are plugin management and support. I agree with Holger about dedicated providers of Redmine hosting. I was mentioned our RedmineUP Cloud platform earlier in a few discussions about shared hosting. It can be a solution for thous who don't have Ruby experts inside.
