Edit a custom query. How to?

Added by James Byrne about 13 years ago

I have a custom query for issues that I would like to modify. However, I cannot seem to find any way to open it for editing. How does one open an existing custom query to edit it?

Never mind. I found it. Not very intuitive though.

I have the same question. How do you edit/delete it?

Finally found it.

When you select the custom query, there's an edit and delete link in the top corner.

I should open my eyes more.

The sidebar menu entries for custom queries really should have the edit and delete icons placed adjacent to each query. This reflects the convention sued elsewhere in Redmine. It should not be necessary to open and run a custom query when all one wishes to do is to delete it.

Can someone please share the URL to edit the query ?

TIA

The generic URL is http://machine.domain.tld/queries/edit/{{query_id}} where you should substitute {{query_id}} as a whole with the id of the query.

The regular way to do this via the UI is by using the edit button, displayed in the contextual menu in the top-right corner of the main area (thus not in the sidebar on the right), only if the user has the required permissions.

Thank you very much. Actually in my version of Redmine (1.2.1.stable) I don't see any edit/delete buttons even if I can find them in the source of the generated page. Maybe a theme issue ....
