Installation on a machine where you don't have command-line?

What's the best strategy for installing redmine on a hosting site where you don't have command-line access (e.g. GoDaddy's web hosting)?

  1. do a local install with a comparable configuration (same OS or distro)
  2. backup db locally
  3. restore it remotly
  4. upload you local copy to your host
  5. alter conf/database.yml and conf/email.yml to reflect remote host conf

Last step: pray for your host gave correct permissions to your uploaded files.
