Upgrading to Sql Server 2008

Hello,
Recently we've installed Redmine for our software planning. Love it. Nice interface, full featured and extensible enough for much of what we need.
It's installed on our Windows Server 2008 Standard, and all the goodness that goes along with that territory.
I pretty much took many of the defaults as they were but for a few adjustments in the mailer capabilities.
I'm finding that it's really slow and would like to upgrade the database from SQLite (I believe that's the default right?). We can upgrade to SQL Server 2008.
Are there any procedures how to go about doing that?
