SVN repo disappeared

We decided to migrate our server to a VPS and durign the migration, something broke, where the repository browser would not show at all and and when we tried to resync the repo with redmine, we got an error that said that the repo was not found. We think we might be lacking some gems or soemthing along those lines. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Do you have subversion installed on your VPS ? Any error in the logs ?
What's your repo config in redmine ? Is it svn://blah, or svn+ssh://blah (you'll need ssh keys), or something else ?

I believe we fixed it by providing full paths to /bin/svn and to our repos. thank you
