possible to move/copy a project to new server

Added by Chris Born almost 15 years ago

We started a project several months ago using my personal server where I manage several additional small projects. We needed the features of Redmine right away mostly as a prof of concept. Now it is invaluable. With a new server ready and Redmine installed, I would love to move that single project over. I have the subversion repo copied, but I want all the Redmine data for that project too. Is there anyway to package this up and haul it over.

I was afraid that would be the answer. Moving a DB over is easy. The problem is I have about 20 projects on my personal server, only one of witch I need to move. I was hoping for a way to archive and export a single project then import it into another Redmine install.

I wonder if it may be easier to copy my whole db over, then remove all the other projects just leaving the one I need, then add the new projects on top of it. Dirty way of doing things though.

I guess there are no news on this?

I have found a feature request that would provide the functionality required here (http://www.redmine.org/issues/3647), and added a link to this thread.
