String custom fields start to be displayed on the front end in square brackets.

Added by Jose Turegano Barbero about 1 year ago

Hello good afternoon, suddenly without apparent changes the text fields of custom fields are displayed in the graphical interface and in sending mails in square brackets.

An example of a custom text field

This is how it looks on the interface

This is what it looks like when editing the request (correctly)

I have already found the solution to the problem. They do not move neither how nor the why but the field of the custom field string had the multiple value to 1, returning it to 0 shows them with normality.

The new text type custom fields are creating them for me with the database value to multiple to 1 (even though the default is 0).

Do you know if this is fixed in later versions of redmine or why this might be happening.

Thank you very much.

Could you try temporarily uninstalling all plugins to see whether any of the plugins causes the issue?

You hit the nail on the head, it was a plugin customization that caused this behavior, namely enhanced_helpdesk_contacts.

Thank you very much for your answer.

Best Regards,
José.
