Developer shouldn't change status to 'Resolved' until QC determines it.

Hello,

I am administering our Redmine PM software. Thank you for providing this.

My problem is when I assign a Projects job to a 'Developer' and they complete the task, they are able to change the status to 'Resolved'. We do not want this as Quality Control must review their solution and only when it is truly resolved will we change to that status.

I see no way for me to alter this behavior. Does anyone know if this behavior can be modified so Developers cannot change Status to Resolved.

That's simple, but tedious :-).
Go to the Administration page, then choose Issue Statuses. There you can add a new one, for example "Verification", "QA", "Testing" whatever, and move it to the position where you want it to appear in the status dropdown within the issue tracker.
Then, again on the Administration page, choose "Workflows". Pick the role and the tracker from the dropdowns and tick/untick the desired transitions according to your requirements. That's it. No further configuration required.
