How to display 'Spent Time' on Issues report

We have developers who are paid based on the Spent Time they record in Redmine.
Unfortunately, I see no way to get an issues report that displays 'Spent Time' in the display columns.
Does any one know of the way to display Spent Time in the columns visible. Better yet, a total for those hours ;-)

There are two custom patches available, #1582 and #971. They haven't been applied because they are not using the permissions system, thus any user with access to the project can see the time spent.
