During 2FA registration authentication code not accepting by Redmine Application

We have installed Redmine 6.1.2 on RHEL and completed all the required configuration steps. However, we are facing challenges while enabling two-factor authentication (2FA). During registration with an authenticator app, Redmine does not accept the generated verification code and displays the error: “Code is invalid or outdated.”
Kindly advise on the possible cause of this issue and how it can be resolved.

Hi Kuntal,

The 2FA scheme used by Redmine (TOTP) is time-sensitive. Please make sure that the time on the server and on the device on which the authenticator app is installed is correctly synchronised. By default each code is only valid for 30 seconds and needs to be entered in your redmine no more than 30 seconds after the code lapsed in the authenticator app.

Can you check those things and see if this improves the situation for you?
