On the activity page, each day's events are grouped under a heading that shows only the date, such as "10/17/2026". Activity is often reviewed in terms of weekdays, for example “what happened on Monday” or “what was done last Friday”, but the current heading does not show the weekday, so users have to work it out from the date.

The attached patch appends the abbreviated day name in parentheses after the date:

10/17/2026 (Sat)

Details:

• The date stays at the beginning of the heading, so the layout that existing users are familiar with is preserved. The day name is supplementary and is displayed in a slightly smaller font and a muted color.
• The heading for the current day continues to show “Today” without a day name.
• The day name is output directly in the view rather than by the format_activity_day helper method, because that method is also used for the date headings in the documents list, and changing it would affect that page as well.
