BRT Customizer - Live theme customization & productivity features for Best Redmine Themes¶

BRT Customizer adds a web-based “live” customization panel for the Zenmine and Boostmine Redmine themes, so administrators can tweak the theme look & feel without editing CSS files directly on the server. Changes are previewed instantly in an embedded live preview and can be saved/restored safely. The live customizer also adds productivity features to users.

• Live theme customization UI for Zenmine / Boostmine (colors, typography and other visual settings), with instant preview in an iframe.
• Additional CSS editor (for advanced tweaks) applied live to the preview.
• Split view option (Gmail style) & scroll to top button
• New features: added a compact view option, an option to hide the “Help” link from the top menu, an assigned issues badge in the top menu, resizable and reorderable task list columns, a sticky task list header, a Quick Recap popup on task hover, a hot-ticket temperature icon, and a *global frontend notic*e with scheduling; settings can be enabled or disabled by users in their My Account page.

IMPORTANT: This plugin is only compatible with Best Redmine Themes: Zenmine & Boostmine

From version 1.0.0 onward: dropped support for Redmine 3.x.

Installation¶

1. Download the plugin into your Redmine plugins folder. Directory has to be named brt_customizer
2. Restart Redmine (or your application server).
3. As a Redmine administrator, go to Administration → Plugins → BRT Customizer → Configure. Select Zenmine or Boostmine as your Redmine theme (Administration → Settings → Display → Theme) and use the Customizer panel to apply changes to your theme.
   No database migration needed.

Uninstall¶

1. Remove the plugin directory from your server.
2. Restart Redmine (or your application server).
   No database migration needed.
