how to show Custom fields for Spent time?

Hi,

We're using a lightly modified version of Redmine for issue tracking and timesheets. So far, things are pretty good, but we really miss one function from our previous timesheet: the ability to quickly and easily see the start/stop times for our spent time entries. We're using custom fields for Spent time to track those values, but the are only two ways to see them that I've found are to edit the time entry or to export the details to CSV. There's got to be a better way!

So, to put this into Redmine-speak, I'd love to show custom fields on the Spent time Details display page. How can I do that?

Any help greatly appreciated.

You're right, they are not part of the UI yet, please open issue to request adding them.

Have you added a request yet? If you do, please post back here to close the loop. I'm just getting started with Redmine and also need to show our custom timesheet fields on a report, otherwise our accountants will never accept this method of time reporting.

While you can't see the value of custom fields for time entries in the app unless you're a manager of the project (and have the time to click on every single time entry), you can export the time entries to CSV which does show the values. Maybe that will help gain some acceptance and be a holdover for the short term. Hope that helps.

I'd also love to see a timesheet submit/approval process in Redmine. Maybe I'll add a feature request for that, too.
